Nice picture but looks to have a pinkish hue on my screen. This has to be the scanning, doesn't it?

It's true, that is a development/scan problem I had with the Boots lab that did C41, sometimes they made XP2 look like that.

I am not using that lab anymore also because they increased the price by 30%, thus making me look somewhere else.

I've only used XP2 a few times. I should use more as it's a really good film, especially if you want no grain!

But the prints you get from labs, unless they are printed on darkroom b/w paper, generally have some colour cast. My enprints which were printed on colour paper used to have a light sepia tone to them.

As for the on screen hue, that is very easily rectified by just converting the file to greyscale from RGB color.

Yes these days I suspect that very few labs can print on B&W paper as most need to be geared up to colour The way we are going on Photrio the same will eventually apply here. Less and less are darkroom printing and those that do are getting close to joining that "great darkroom in the sky" :D
