Does Jobo 2502 Reel Come with Clear Color?

I recently received two Jobo reels, about the same as the 2502 reels, but in clear color. I know it is not 2501 and it also has the tab for 2 rolls of 120 film. But most of the 2502 reels are in dark (black) color. So not sure if this is the early version of the 2502. The reels look in excellent/ clean condition.

Originally the 2502 reels were made of a clear plastic. Later they were made of black ABS.

I assume the differences between both types are the same as discussed here for the smaller 1000/1500 tanks.

No, these are the same reels, just different colors. The old one is 2501, which is not very good IMHO.

Then what is the difference between the old 2501 type and the clear ones in your photo?

(Yours look in basic design and material as the old clear ones for the smaller system.)

Seach google imsage and get pictures of the 2501. I do not have any, but from what I can see, the film guide is not continuous. This can be a problem with some people.

The 2502 is built just like the original 1501 reel.

The 2502 reel was avaible in clear and black. The clear ones can be used if you want to make a "between exposure" (I don't know the right word in english) if you use a E-6 prozess without Reversal Bath.
