As i understand Mamiya produced the RB67 pro SD long after the introduction of the RZ.

It will cure your GAS for a while.

I wouldn't. If I needed a second body as a backup then I'd buy another RZ.

Well, what interests you about the RB? The lenses and backs will fit an RZ, so unless you're paranoid about battery dependence then there doesn't seem to be any reason other than curiosity (which may be reason enough) to buy one.

Curiosity is a factor, a bit of GAS to. Also the RB67 feels very solid and i like the 6x8 version, but
then again going from 56x69.5 to 56x76mm want make much of a difference.

Only if you need to fit a digital back to it, the "D" designation means it has that facility.

IIRC, the RZ can use the 6x8 backs via adapter.

The RB67 Pro SD was introduced back in 1990.

With an adapter, both the RB67 Pro S and Pro SD can take the digital ZD back, which was introduced with the RZ67 IID.
