I am trying to fault find a problem I have with my printer and need someone to conduct me a test and let me have the results.
Ideally, I would like the test done on Epson Archival Matte paper but any matte paper would do at a push.

Using the Epson Advance Black & White Mode with the Tone option set to Dark.

1- Print a 1x1 inch black square (RGB 0.0.0)
2 - Let it dry for 10 minutes
3 - Measure the results with the ColorMunki Photo ColorPicker
4 - Send me the LAB values from the measurement

I think you might also need to specify the profile for the image you are printing. I think ABW ignores the profile, so in theory 0,0,0 should print the same no matter what, but I'm not positive of that.

What are you trying to solve?

I fear I have an issue with the ink system. When I print 0,0,0 its coming out warmer. Before I start to dismantle th eprinter I wanted someone to do th etest to see how close to 0,0,0 they actually get

Do you mean like you have yellow in the black? I think yellow and PK share a damper and when mine went one of the symptoms, before it completely drained the photo black, was that I had black in my yellow ink. It only happened on a few prints, and then I was out of ink.

My recommendation is to install QuadToneRip and print out a calibration page. It will print each color ink separately and should let you see if there's mixing going on. Just printing 0,0,0 may have the driver still using other inks, though I doubt much.

My 3880 has been converted to Piezography (after I fixed it). I have an old profile print on matte paper (hot press natural). The black patch is L*16.87436 a*1.129798 b*1.884137, but that's not ABW. I'll see if I can find one from the 3880 or I can print one from the 7900 when I switch it over to matte (same inks).

I have the equipment but really not the time at the moment, sorry to disappoint.
