This is the other yard sale lens that I have no idea about. It's a Tokina EMZ 28 80, 3.8 4.8 zoom in Nikon AI mount. Appears to be a macro. It's the first Tokina lens I've owned, and I can find essentially no information on it on the web, other than it may be re branded from something else (Cosina?). I was planning on selling it, but may keep it for the handy focal length and macro feature. Just wondering if it is worth running film through. The build quality is very good, which I realize may mean nothing.
I have a later version of the Tokina 28-70mm 3.5-4.5 also in Nikon AI mount. It is a smaller lens overall and a decent performer.
I was very surprised how good the macro is.
Yours is a different version.
Funny yours still has the "rabbit ears", mine doesn't.
Thanks very much for the info. I should run a roll through it and see how it images. Been a while since I tried any macro photography (since its Nikon mount, I guess its micro).
