Does anybody use 'Panorama'?

Hi

I have just registered here and this is my first post!

I downloaded Panorama on my iMac to use specifically for scanning 4X5 negatives on my Epson V600 scanner.

The program seems to work extremely well except that when I come to export the result, the file is very small. For example I stitched 3 images, each of which were 6+Mb, and got an output JPEG file of just 580Kb, having moved the slider to maximum quality when prompted. If I export the file as a TIFF it isn't much bigger.

What am I doing wrong?

what resolution are you scanning at? 6Mb seems pretty small for 4x5. My 4x5 scans actually 3.6x4.5 are 116Mb at 1600dpi

Agreed, heck my 35mm's scan at 40mb's so I would agree the beginning files might be scanned to low?

That still doesn't explain why the output file is smaller than the combined files...
