I don't know why I haven't shared this yet, but both the 120 and 35mm (I don't have any 110s right now) of lomochrome metropolis say made in Germany. This kind of has me intrigued...

You are confusing the remaining, current Agfa company in Belgium ( www.agfa.com ), which has been and still is producing industrial film materials (like X-ray films, aerial films, micro films, PCB films) with the former German Agfa plant in the city of Leverkusen, in which all the professional and amateur photo films were produced. The German Agfa factory stopped production at the end of 2005. Later it was dismantled. Important machinery was sold to other film manufacturers like e.g. InovisCoat, ADOX and Ilford Photo.

Concerning "Made in Germany":
There are currently three film manufacturers in Germany:
1. InovisCoat / Inovisproject (mainly former Agfa Germany / Leverkusen engineers using former Agfa machinery in their own new built factory).
2. ADOX is building up a new plant at their headquarter in Bad Saarow; they also have bought and are operating a coating machine in Marly, Switzerland (bought from Ilford Imaging).
3. FilmoTec.
InovisCoat / Inovisproject is producing both colour and BW materials. ADOX and FilmoTec are focussed on BW.

Best regards,
Henning

No, nothing from the Agfa factory in Belgium was sold.
Lots of the machinery of the German Agfa factories in Leverkusen and Windhagen (which were closed) was sold. Mainly to InovisCoat, but also to ADOX and Ilford Photo / Harman technology.

Best regards,
Henning
