Does a dark brown rebate indicate problems or do some films just look like that?

I just developed my first C-41 in a LONGGGGG time and I mixed all new chems except Bleach. I'm using the Kodak Flexicolor chems that have a separate bleach and fix.
I haven't developed any color film since late last year...October or November and as I said, I just added fresh bleach to the bleach that I had used. I had about 700ml and I topped it off with about 300 more.

So I developed my film and the film looks a bit "thin" and the rebate is a pretty dark brown and not orange.

I'm wondering if some films vary in their base color like that or my processing wasn't optimum.

Did a search of APUG and according to PE: brown base means under bleach and under fix.
I'll try re-bleach and re-fix with fresh bleach.
