I take my gear to work frequently. I've actually made several pictures in the building and outside of it. Oftentimes I'm out shooting before or after and don't want to let it freeze or bake in the car.
No. I work in a food factory and glass in all guises is banned from the entire site. I suppose I could buy a cheap camera with a plastic lens and take that but I am not inclined.
Always, keep my backpack (loaded with Maxxum 7, 70-210, 28-85, two 5400HS flashes and at least 6 rolls of film) at the back door - grab on the way out and drop back when I get home.
I jumped on the bandwagon for the 65mm version, I really didn't need
another camera, but the 65mm f8 hasn't been getting any loving since
I switched to the RB67 last summer. I was looking for higher resolution
and reduced weight. The RB configuration can weigh almost 11 pounds
when I take it out with the 100-200 lens . . . The 4X5, and some holders
should be less than 3 pounds !
I currently carry my Agfa Clack, but usually have an OlyXA or a Paxette. But I'm lovin' the Clack-- even the blown shots are interesting, plus my aging eyes can still read a 6x9 contact print pretty well.
I have at least one camera with me most of the time because I have a long commute to work and back. Today I have my Olympus OM-1 with 28mm loaded with APX 100. In winter is worse because I'm prone to forgetting the cameras in my trunk. No damages so far...
I did when I gave the Photo-a-Day exercise a go a few years back. Usually it was the CLAed and refurbished Canonet QL17 GIII in a small traveling kit designed just for the project. It only lasted until March of that year, unfortunately, before the lack of time each day finally buried me.
I need to be retired like Ben if I ever hope to complete anything of photographic significance. Until then, I'm doomed.
Yes. Olympus mju, or Olympus RC35, or M3 with elmar if I plan to go somewhere afer work. Before also Rollei 35 - but lens is damaged inernally afer borowing it to someone (lession learned).
I'll take some to work if I am testing film or a new acquisition. I have a lot of boring, poorly taken, pictures of the Cleveland State University campus. Speaking of which, when it stops raining I have to test a few ebay backs for light leaks.
