If there was an "I shoot 99%+ b&w film" option, I'd select that.

As my two predecessors mentioned, I also shoot only B&W. I don't even own any color film.

Your survey options are incomplete.

On edit:
I lied. I do have some Fuji chromes in the freezer.
I haven't shot any of those in so long, I forgot about them, and they've all expired.

I would say that my use of film is approximately 90% B&W. It's what I was weaned on (Verichrome 620) and have always liked its look. At present I have standardized on Eastman Double-X. Again for its look.

I shoot both. But a better answer is that it depends on the subject and what I want the final print to be. For example, if I am traveling then I will shoot mostly color, but if I see a subject that I will want to spend time in the darkroom working on, I will usually decide then if I want black & white or color. Nature photography is mostly color. If I have a particular subject that I want to work with, then usually black & white.

Color negative is what I do mostly. All formats, but mostly 120. I shoot a little b&w, 4x5 only. It is fun, but always great to get back to color. Color is real, b&w is too surreal and comparatively dull for my tastes to use extensively.

For those who chose the first option (I photograph with at least 30% b/w or colour film), what do you shoot with for the other 70%?

I shoot 70-80% black and white.
I shoot several rolls of chrome film yearly, but mostly on vacations, for spring blooming or for fall foliage.
I basically only use C-41 for special purpose cameras (underwater and disposables). Since I'm not set up to develop color, it's easier for me to use digital for that purpose.

Since I got back into film about a year ago, mostly color... I have a thing for those hazy type color photos you find in old family photo boxes from "back in the day."

Recently though I started shooting black and white, since my friend has helped get me back into processing film. Developed an expired roll of 35mm Kodak T-Max 400 a friend gave to me, with one more currently loaded in my Minolta and a fresh roll of Ilford HP5 Plus in the Canonet I picked up last week.

I went with I shoot mostly B&W based on what is in my fridge ring now. But it is 55% B&W 45% colour right now.One year i might not shoot colour, the next I might not shoot B&W. This year I've shoot as many feet B&W as I have in colour.

You might want to close this thread since the OP has start a newer and hopefully better survey thread.
