I used them for a while, especially HP5+ for portrait work. A very fine grain for a 400asa film. Never liked FP4+ but used to use their 50asa (can't think of the name). XP-1 all those years ago because it was C41, when I didn't have use of mine or any darkroom due to location.

It definitely has it's own look. But after a bad batch I switched back to Agfa. Now that they're gone, it's either Tri-X, Plus-X, Rollei Ortho25, Efke 25-100, Fomapan 200. As for paper, am now hooked on Foma's "Fomatone" range of beautiful papers.

No more Ilford for me. I'm probably in the minority, but Ilford doesn't walk on water as many seem to think.

No, they don't walk on water but they do appear very committed to B&W traditional photography which is fantastic. Its about opinions. They are releasing new products and improving existing ones. I agree that FP4+ is a very good film but perhaps not very unique (I guess its not supposed to be). ... but how many 100 speed traditional films are left with first rate quality control? Not many, sadly. My favourite was always APX10) though I am trying to get all I can out of Delta 100 at present which is very different but has an awful lot going for it too.

The 50 speed film would prob Pan-F of Pan F+.

If only Foma's QC was better with the Foma 200. First time I order a decent sized batch after testing and every roll has scratches and speckles in the emulsion. I've yet to try their papers, but with the imminent re-release of revived Agfa MCC and the new Adox WT paper on a white base I am not sure I will need to. Forte papers were beautiful but QC was pretty bad there too.

I have only had faults once with ilford and that was damaged 5x4 FP4+. Never with Kodak, but then again I have used less.

I use Pan F, but the price is now such that I have merged and now almost completely switched to Rollei Pan 25. Rollei is closer to Panatomic X. If, and it's a dead if, Ilford should make Pan F in sheets they might be shocked at the amount they would sell. For 120 roll film nothing beats Rollei Pan 25.

I won't even broach 2x3 film, it's available on special order, but only in HP5, I haven't seen any, why can't B&H, Glazer's, or Freestyle carry some once a year? But it really doesn't matter, I just my roll film holders and Rollei Pan 25 or any other 120 roll film.

That's my point, take it or leave it.

I love Ilford films... use FP4+ and HP5+ almost exclusively. I also like their papers.

I like their film, particularly HP-5+. I like Kentmere Bromide papers better than Ilford Multigrade or Galerie. I wish Ilford would price their photo paper a bit more competitively in the US.

Long Live Ilford, i use ilford a lot, both film and paper

Ilford DW FB MG glossy has been my favorite b/w printing paper for the last 20 or so years.
