I bought five 8X10 Yosemite prints of Ansel Adams printed by Alan Ross while attending Ansel's workshop in Yosemite. I wanted to use them as reference prints while learning how to expose and develop. Just recently, I purchased a beautiful 8X10 platinum landscape made by Doug Frank back in the early 80's. I use it as a reference print also. As one of the major coincidences of my life, I inherited several Native American prints by Edward Curtis and at least fifteen portrait prints of my own family taken by Curtis at the turn of the century. My grandmother actually remembered and recounted to me her experience at Curtis' studio, which was in Seattle at the time.
