Do 67mm lens filters fit with the Hasselblad 100mm CF (40673) lens hood on?

I want to be able to use the lens with a UV filter and the lens hood on at the same time.

My 72mm adapter doesn't fit inside the lens hood so I cannot use any of my color filters with it on...bummer. I'm thinking about getting a single modern B+W 67mm UV filter because I assume they're better than the older bayonet 60 filters available.

(Note: My 72mm adapter is stuck to the bayonet 60 to 67mm adapter so I can't test this myself before buying a UV filter)

I have a B60-67mm adapter with a B+W multicoated uv filter on my 100mm CFi, Hasselblad lens hood slips over no problem. I love the B+W filters. If you are lucky and have deep pockets there are brass B60-67 adapters. The cheap aluminum adapters work but they can seize .

Yes, a 67mm threaded B+W filter attached to a B60-67 adapter does fit inside the inner diameter of a Hasselblad 100-250 hood.

Maybe I will give a used B60 UV filter a chance if I see a cheap one. It's good to know a 67mm ones fit.

I find aluminium adapters work fine, they work as well as brass, but the B60 side becomes looser over time more quickly. Both the brass and aluminium B60 flanges can be tweeked to increase retention.

Yeah, the Heliopan brass adapters are the best. I contacted Heliopan a couple years back, the adapters are discontinued

When I have no option I use a toothpick and put a couple milligrams of Vaseline (white petrolatum) on the threads of aluminum. I avoid aluminum lens accessories if possible. Cheap junk drives out all the quality manufacturers then we have no choice.

B&H still offers bayonet 60 filters from Tiffen. I wonder if they are good? The reviews are preoccupied with how nice the UV and UV haze 1 filters are for protection - not how they impact the image or how easy they are to keep spotless.

B+W doesn't seem to offer bayonet 60 anymore.

Does anyone know why Hasselblad went for a bayonet mount in the first place?

I find rubbing candle wax on the threads is better than vaseline, it does not dry out or flow into places it shouldn't.

Hasselblad B60 filters came in aluminium, I don't have issues with that. Cheap is another thing though. You can still find NOS or lightly used B&W and Heliopan B60 filters. Marumi made some decent B60 filters too.

I have a newer Hasselblad 350mm the aluminum hood and adapter rings for that have stuck, same is true with the new 40mm accessories (that lens is sharp but it weights more than the camera).

I simply do not like aluminum filters, hoods etc. This stuff is cheap, soft, etc.

@blee1996 thanks, it is a little faster and I've never had one bind.

However, I purchased a B+W 67mm UV filter because the old Hasselblad bayonet UVs I saw were near the same price. I confirmed the bayonet 60 to 67mm and 67mm filter both fit with the hood on.

Funnily, I did end up needing to email B+W. I will share why if they reply.

I stick to B60 filters unless the filter I want to purchase is not available in that mount. Then I by the filter in 67mm and use the B60 to 67mm filter adapter.
