Dmax of Adox MCP310 RC

I had a chance of measuring test strips made on Adox MCP310 RC today and got a reading of D = 2,46 in the blackest areas. That value seems high, so I am wondering whether the densitometer may need some calibration.

Has anybody measured the Dmax of this paper?

Haven't used that paper but, MGFB classic gives me 2.2 with Dektol 1+2.

Adox states in the datasheet that the Dmax > 2,2
Agfa gave for the "Agfa" Version of the paper Dmax = 2,25

I am trying to calibrate a Heiland Splitgrade and the expected Dmax is 1,8 < Dmax < 2,0. So I am wondering whether the Heiland or the Densitometer (or most probably both) need calibration ....

This Adox paper should be standard available in the Heiland control unit and does not need any calibration.
That's the big advantage of this system.
After measuring, you can of course adjust time and grade to your taste.

That is correct. Yet the Heiland needs calibration to the light source, and that is what I am doing.

All my prints were heavily overexposed in the beginning, with way too much contrast. So I have figured out (with a series of test strips) that I need a lot less blue and a bit more green, but I am not sure about the overall exposure.

The contrast on the final test strip looks fine (in accordance with the Heiland instructions), but as I had the chance to measure the strips, it seemed like more accurate. The Heiland calibration guide indicates that the Dmax should be around 2 in the darkest areas of the printed test strip, so 2,46 seems like too much. So I was wondering whether this reading with the densitometer is correct?

I guess I will just do some prints and figure it out by trial and error.

Update: The densitometer needs calibration.

The Dmax of 2.46 is not correct, not even close. I have had the chance to measure with a different densitometer (sufficiently calibrated), and the values are around between 1,9 and 2,0. These readings actually make sense.

The good news is: the test strip is exactly the way it is suppose to be, so if I a print is not good, it´s not flawed technology, but me
