Brilliant! Not high enough resolution, at least on my phone, but brilliant nonetheless.

Agree it's brilliant, no pun intended. But aside from camera resolution issues, there are three other issues for me:
1. Uniformity of the backlighting.
2. 8-bit color depth of a JPG. My Nikon scanner admittedly cost more, but it produces (I think) 16-bit color depth.
3. JPG is a lossy format. My Nikon scanner produces lossless TIFF files.

Still, I have to admire this guy's ingenuity.
 
Brilliant! I made something similar years ago with a webcam to read microfilms, quality was not so good but enough to read the documents.
