Has anybody ever built a revolving darkroom door ? I'm about to begin constructing my fifth darkoom. This time I want a revolving door. But I cannot seem to find one at a reasonable distance. Is it possible to build one yourself?

Any tips are welcome.

If you have the room why not double right angle doors? Light can't go around corners -) Go in the first door. Turn 90degrees and go in the second door. Use the outer room for storage.

Homebuilt is definitely possible, but likely to be heavy and unwieldy unless you really finesse the building technique. The tricky part is the inner cylindrical tube. Maybe you can form thinnest plywood to shape or use epoxy / glass cloth. A metals fabricator might be able to roll a partial cylinder for you as an option. The outer envelope is usually a cylindrical metal in commercial fabrications, but there is no reason you could not use a simpler squared off shape made of wood or whatever for the outer housing to save effort building.

All inner surfaces flat black when you're done.
