I see 8x10 Polaroid processors have sold as high as $1500 recently. It seems to me we could build them for less. If anything the device is little more than a wringer clothes washer. 2 precision rollers cranked by hand or motor. Any machinist could make a hand powered one.

I also noticed the Impossible team has just released a Day Lab version for their small film. I would think they will soon release a 8x10 roller set.

Perhaps I should follow my own logic and sell my soon to be obsolete Polaroid made 8x10 machine. Have I missed something here.?

I don't know about DIY, but back in May I bought a Polaroid 8x10 processor with tray and film holder for $25. They now go for $1,500 you say? Yikes!

While not exactly the same situation, it's kind of like Jobo processors and Expert drums after Jobo's future was in doubt. Those things went through the roof, esp the drums. TIP would be smart to bring out a manual processor, ala Calumet.
