(there was a url link here which no longer exists) - DIY 16x20 Tray Ladder

Darkroom workers with small sinks and the ambition to make large prints often find themselves wanting to obtain a tray ladder. As you can see here, a tray ladder looks a bit like a multilevel dish rack. It is designed to hold three trays, one above the other, often in a vertically staggered arrangement.

When using the tray ladder, a print goes (carefully) from one tray to the next, just like the usual arrangement where the trays are laid...

Very cool and simple solution. This follows up very nicely a discussion in a similar thread. I think I'll be giving something like this a try very soon.

Cheers,

I can do that. See, Tom. This solves some of the space trouble. Thanks, Phillip.

Very nice, simple design, and it doesn't take up too much space when not in use.

Well done and Thank You. I was given several 16x20" trays and though I can fit three of them in my sink, if I ever decide to tone anything, I may well want to have a similar setup. By the way, for those with the more flexible trays, if you make another triangle and turn it upside down between the two he has arranged, you will end up with a mid support as well and the other two triangles will keep the middle one supported on the ends. Just a thought.

Philllip,

I'm not seeing your photo. Is it in your post? Could you please re-post the pic?
Thank you!
