I need a little help. I will be doing divided Pyro development with TMY-2. From what I can see on the forum the development times look like they should be 5 minutes A and 5 minutes B at 75 F. The A agitation - constant first 15 second then 15 seconds every minutes - and B the same. 8x10 sheet in tank and 120 roll in tank.

Can someone verify this is correct or give me a better start point.
Thanks

You're on the right track, but beware - there are some tricks to this. Somewhere on this forum is a long thread about divided development using Pyrocat HD. See also the Pyrocat website, http://www.pyrocat.com. It has links to that particular thread.

I have found (following information on the big thread, wherever it is) that adding a bit of wetting agent to the A bath and giving negs a 15-second drain between A and B is important to avoid uneven development. After the 15-second drain, immerse the film completely in the B bath as quickly as possible and give it 1 minute of constant, vigorous agitation.

I found that without the wetting agent, 15-second drain and vigorous agitation in the B bath, that skies and other large areas of similar tone were very prone to mottling. I ruined some nice shots that way.
