I received an order from B&S of PdCl2 and just wondering if it's dissolving right. I used 2.5g Pd, 2.5g table salt, 25ml of water at 130 degrees. The solution was muddy red. It looks like it's going into solution.

Will this tend to clear overnight?

Thanks
Neal

Neal,

I usually go 5 gm PdCl, 3.5 gm NaCl (kosher) with enough distilled water to make a final volume of 55 ml. Be sure to dissolve the salt first as it allows the palladium to dissolve into solution easier.

Keep it warm and shake it every once in awhile. It should clear overnight with no problem.
