Does anyone have any idea if this would work well? That is using Direct Positive B&W paper (like the Efke stuff) to print a positive digital negative. Maybe I'm missing the point of the whole digital negative but it seems like this would be the easiest way to basically copy an inkjet print onto silver gelatin media. You could at least visually inspect your source transparency print before printing this way.

I would say yes, it could work, perhaps very well. But I'm not familiar with the paper so the best thing is to give it a shot.

Reports of this paper are that it is very contrasty, so it may not be as easy as it seems, but digital negs may be a way of getting control over the medium, if you really like the look of Efke Direct Positive paper. You will probably need to produce a low contrast digital positive to print to the Efke Direct Positive paper, so it still might be easier to get a good print by using a positive/negative method, since ordinary negative papers are somewhat more flexible than positive materials.
