Perhaps a dump question, but is the a rule to convert dimensions noted in pixels in to cm, I am so used to think in meters not in pixels.
The scanner software notes the dimensions in pix, but this gives me no indication how large (or small) the image will be in cm (or mm). And I suppose that resolution (dpi) will have to be taken in account to, so this makes it more complex.
Something like : X pix x Y pix at X dpi = X mm x Y mm
you need to do the math in your head or on paper. figure a 3500px scan is going to be about a 100px per mm on 35mm frame. Which will give you just about enough pixels for a 20cm x 30cm print on most printers -- I think. hope that helps.
