Hello,

I would like to know if someone ever made child (1-2 years) portrait with a 5x7 camerA in natural light?

I would like to reproduce Portrait head and shoulder style.

I doesn't know which modern lens to choose. Any suggestion?

My camera is a canham and have bellow extension of 635mm extension.

Thank you so much.

I used to use a 10" Wollensak teleoptar for this. If you do use a monotone back drop, the bokeh can be quite harsh.

i'd use a 210/370 symmar converted to 370.
shoot wide open it will give you a nice softness
but not too soft or
if you have a portrait veritar ( 10" ) i would use that as well
use it wide open it is beautiful...

good luck !

You might want to spend some time plugging some numbers into this:

That will help you figure out the lens to subject distance, as well as any needed exposure compensation. Once you've figured out what focal length gives you the working room that feels right, I don't think you'll go wrong with any of the more recent offerings from any of the Big Four.
