Hi,
I notice many of you scan your negatives and then digitally enhance or clean up your images. What program do you use? Is photoshop elements okay or would I need photoshop cs? I prefer to shoot in film (not to get into it, but I just personally don't get the same feeling from digital no matter what the resolution--but then again my digital camera is just a point and shoot), but it would be nice to be able to scan the photo and enhance it to give it a more clean, professional look.
Any tips, ideas? I hope I've posted this in the right forum, please let me know or moderators feel free to move this if I posted it in the wrong place.
Digital "enhancement" is generally discouraged. Just try to match the print as best you can, whether you are working with a neg scan or a print scan, with whatever software you have access to. For this rather low level of manipulation, you don't need anything terribly sophisticated, and for more info, you can consult photo.net, dpreview, or any other site devoted to digital imaging.
