Okay, well, here is a first for me: looking to buy a digital camera.
To sum up a really long story, I am going to be out of my house with no access to my darkroom and tape gear, and will likely be living in a motorhome.
Well, I am looking to continue with my attempts at video. What I am looking for is a cheap digital video camera that can be tethered to a computer for recording. Due to the necessity, my computer will be moving to the motorhome with me, so I will be able to work via that.

I am specificlaly looking for: can be tethered to computer for recording directly to the computer (I don't want to have to buy hard drives, mini dvds, or memory cards at this time, unless it can't be avoided)
as affordable as possible. Ebay items? sounds good. I am willing to accept minor errors and bugs. My one digital camera will only work with one brand of memory card. I do not know why, but it doesn't affect using it (much.)
Does not need to be able of doing still photos, does not need a removable lens, does not need the most user-friendly controls.
Does not need to be new, or even that recent.

Sorry if I am being picky. I don't have a lot to spend, and I know it will limit me, so I'm hoping that there is something within those limitations.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Take a look on Shopgoodwill.com when looking for a camcorder that can do digital video - they often have relatively recent cast-off models from Canon, Sony and Panasonic that will fit most of your bill for not very much money ($100+/-). As to specific models, I think most things in the price range you're looking for will still require you to record to other media first (probably your best bet is the mini DVD recorders - things that record to CompactFlash or MemoryStick will be more expensive, and you don't want to have to deal with anything that records to tape, because tape is SLOW to transfer).

This might be a good option if you can't find something that will record directly to your computer - shopgoodwill.com - #9823057 - Canon NTSC DC100 DVD Camcorder - 4/27/2012 7:13:40 AM
