I have lost my notes for carrying out this procedure i.e., outputting digital positives onto an unkjet OHT or transparency, for the purpose of UV exposure using Image-on, onto a copper plate.

Two house moves this past year - so it kind of had to happen with something or other!

I seem to remember that (using Photoshop) I saved it in gray scale then did something like saved it as a halftone. There was something to do with bit map and then dither and well

I can't remember the order of things or the angles for the dots.??

PLEASE IS ANYONE ON HERE ABLE TO OFFER ANY ADVICE.

hope you can help

best wishes

First convert to greyscale and then convert it to "Bitmap". During the conversion to bitmap you will be given the option of either creating a halftone or using dither diffusion. Standard angle for the halftone dots is 45 degrees. I would experiment with your output to try and get as fine a dot pattern as possible (i.e. 133 or over). Dither diffusion is the other way to go. I'm currently experimenting using dot patterns between 300 and 700 lines per inch.
