Hey everyone -
Getting back into trying to make my digital negatives since a break the past few weeks, I've done some linearization, etc using my handy ColorMunki Photo for taking samples, etc. Everything seems to be okay in terms of the process though I've encountered a very peculiar situation - when I print the above image using the newly made linearized QTR profile in QTR, the negative (where the shadows are may as well register as a kind of base + fog) is printing a nearly middle grey in this shadow region! Very strange! Where on the subject shadows are represented just fine with no ink/density as in the last example of the printed negative. Is this an ink issue or something that QTR is doing when it shouldn't?? I haven't any idea what would be causing this kind of anomaly.
Would anyone be able to assist?
