You can mimic lith with digital. but my 2cents is that after trying to do it on computer with good results on screen when translated to paper the super blacks are not kept , which is one of the main beauties of lith prints.
I have never seen a digital try that can match the real thing.

and why even try? I remember in years past magazine articles like "how to make inkjets look like platinum prints." I'll know we are past feeling that inkjets somehow need to justify themselves when there are articles on how to make platinums or carbon transfers look like inkjets:D

don,

i have played around with this and of course they may lack the "real" look , but it can be fun and interesting.

Tim Rudman's book "The World of LIth Printing has several images and pages of information regarding this technique with examples of how various folks have approach this in the digital age.

Thanks everyone for your input, Ann I do have Rudman's book but I've not applied the info found there.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I guess it's impossible to make a PS plugin that mimics infectious development,

Do an internet search on "lith Photoshop" to see what some others have come up with. I got a lot more hits than I expected ...
