Hi: I used to do the darkroom thing, and use film cameras, and I got interested in astronomy, astrophotography, particularly
deep-sky. So I started cutting my teeth on different and higher gear. Until I finally arrived at a Celestron RASA 11" scope
for my astrograph. That's the scope that provided the attachment image of the Moon.
Whoops I was going to include that image, but I see that since it's digital and the rules say I'm not to.
In my own opinion, I got sorta good at astrophotos, at least this has been my best attempt so far and the latest-pretty
much one too. So of course there's a sense of pride there.
However just suffice to say that those 'astrograph' scope make the image plane flat and so when your're in focus at one
place on the sensor, or film you're in focus all over it, and so long as your image circle is big enough...you can get an
un-vignetted view of your astro item.
Yet my question is, you see I would get a Beseler 45V-XL enlarger and get back into enlarging in a darkroom if 1.: I could
find a suitable digital negative transparency LCD projector thingy that I can slip into the place where a film negative had
gone...and 2. I wish it had enough resolution..and 3. I hope for it to take SD memory cards.
So basically it turns it into a digital projecting enlarger.
What do you call that (item) then? Any brand names?
PS: does it still need the condenser lenses...(with the Dichro 45s enlarging head? and can the Dichro 45s head be used
with a Beseler 45V-XL? (I'm kinda thinking this answer is yes but don't totally know)
PPS: my favorite enlarging paper is Mitsubishi Gekko...for its superb blacks. What's yours?
