I am studying Autochrome and Its like a making a color filter with RRGGBB , 6 different chemicals. I am at the edge of obtaining all of these chemicals color spectrums. I want to carry them to LAB and make a digital color filter.

I need to learn that , can I carry the all minute details of a spectrum to the LAB or would it be too general.

If it is too general , would it be possible to carry spectrum to LAB with a plug in ? Is there a plug in for that.

Thank you ,

figure out the physical process FIRST, then worry about the color balance

This is not answer to my question.

I couldn't tell exactly what you were trying to achieve. What is the function of the color filter? Will you be creating autochrome transparencies?
