I was curious what the specific differences are between the RB pro, and the pro S, and the pro SD.

Also, anybody know why the info on the KL lenses I've been looking at says they come with adapters for pro S and pro SD?

Thanks in advance

Pro S over Professional...

Back dark slide interlock.
Locking focus knob.

Those ae the only two I have noticed.

The SD has a different sized lens opening, hence the adapters for KL lens for the other two series.

Agewise, the Professional came first, the ProS came next, the SD are the newest.

More will fill in the gaps of my knowledge.

The Pro S has a holder for the darkslide that my Pro does not have.

Hmmm? I see a shoe on the side of my Pro S, but there is a small raised rivet on the side of my Pro which serves to hold the leading edge of the dark slide. Maybe that was an after-market mod by the local repair guru. I got these from a local shooter.

Can KL lenses be used on the RZ body? How do RZ lenses compare to KL lenses?

Also, can a non-pro S revolving adapter be used on a pro S body (I realize that the dark slide interlock wouldn't work with a non-pro S adapter)? What about a non-pro S P adapter?

Can a film back be mounted on the camera body without a revolving adapter?

Also, can a non-pro S back be used on a pro S body?

All RB lenses, including KL lenses, can be used on an RZ body. RZ lenses and KL lenses are said to be about the same level of quality, although some of the newer RZ lenses may be better.

You need a revolving adapter to mount a film back. You can take the revolving adapter off and put other adapters for other backs, but the standard film back needs a revolving adapter.

I dono, my Pro has a rivet as well for the dark side too.
