Difference M645 1000S vs. 645E

Will a GN401 Rapid Wing Grip for a 645e fit and work on a M645 or 654 1000S?

The grip does fit on the 1000S. I haven't tested it, but I believe it would work fine.

I've read that the power winder for the 1000s can be made to function on the 645e. When Mamiya USA used to maintain a 645 users group on the internet, they were surprised to learn of this .

If the 1000s power winder can be can be made to function on the 645e, one would guess that the rapid winder for the 645e might be made to function on the 1000s - as long as:

a) the connectors between the grips and the cameras are compatible (and in hand); and
b) there are no physical incompatibilities (protruding parts of camera or grip) that get in the way of each other.

I hope someone who has tried this combo will let me know. I don't want to buy the rapid winder and then find out "close but no cigar".

Okay, I tried the rapid wind 645e grip out on the 645 1000s camera and it works fine, both for winding and shutter release. Does not block any of the other controls. Let me know if you want to buy mine. I have the instructions also.

so for anyone who cares a 645E Rapid Wind grip WILL work on an M645

That's great. It is a nice grip, and I would have kept it, but it is a bit too large for my hand to be comfortable.
