Dichromate and septic systems

I have been getting the alt process bug lately, but have some concerns about chrome going down the drain in rinse water, particularly with gum printing, which i really want to try. Im not so concerned about a drop of 1% soloution for contrast increase in sensitiser with other processes. Im sure Im not the only one to deal with the issue. Any ideas?
