This is still on for another week at Heide. I found out about it today and went to see it. Apparently it's going to SA too. By "other American photographers" they mean Weegee, William Klein, Lisette Model, Walker Evans, Mary Ellen Mark, William Eggleston (including tricycle and red ceiling dye transfers), Garry Winogrand (including worlds Fair bench), Lee Friedlander and I think a couple of others I can't recall.
This exhibition is worth seeing for the 'other' photographers as much as any of Arbus' work, although there is relatively little from each of the other photographers, but still worth seeing. It's interesting to see the Arbus images as a large group. Susan Sontags scathing comments about Arbus in 'On Photography' start to make sense.
