Diana F+ lens disassemble

Had an original (non-working) Diana sitting around, and after prying it apart (and an explosion of 50+ year old plastic), I thought I might remount the original Diana lens in a modern Lomography Diana F+.

Has anyone disassembled a Lomography Diana F+ lens before? I've been unable to find any tutorials and I'd rather not allow it to suffer the same fate as the original Diana.

doesn't surprise me. if you are patient, you can grab a diana with its lens, be it the lomo version or the original one, for $5 or €5 on ebay (+ shipping). same price on flea markets or in thrift stores. so if something is wrong with the lens, why should anyone bother to take it apart?

in the case of tinkering, I would force it apart for a first try and then take a second one to do better...

I got a broken Diana at a flea market...
The shutter/lens assembly was still functional, so I hacksawed the lens barrel off at the body and glued the lens barrel to a drilled-out Nikon body cap.
It worked well, but only worked for macro...great for flowers.
If I would have had more interest, I'd have shortened the barrel.
Another drawback was that I had to use a rubber band to hold the lens shutter open.
