This is self-inflicted:

Seikosha MXL shutter on Diacord is stuck open. I believe it occurred when I set it on B to take pix of lens clarity for possible sale.

I may have shifted shutter speed during this, or flash (M, F, X) lever may have shifted. I released the self-timer to see if that would help, but it just wound down, clicked, and nothing. Moving flash lever makes no nevermind.

I don't want to disassemble this otherwise unmolested and operational machine, nor do I wish to spring for a CLA today --

If there's a simple fix I'm unaware of, please do tell! (But I bet there isn't ...)

Diacords are 40-50 years old. The shutters are well-made, so it probably just needs a CLA. The classic sign is the shutter hangs up on slow speeds. You might as well go ahead with your sale--noting that the shutter needs a CLA, which is probably a good idea for any camera of similar age.

Thanks, Barry. I realize yours is the only sensible, adult approach.

I admit I was hoping for a magic wand.
