Df + Fm + G2

I like both the second and third cameras pictured. In my opinion, the first one is grossly over-priced for what it is.
 
The Df is Nikon's tribute to the F4: it has external controls for all its major functions.

Nikon clearly wanted to appeal to the traditional analog photographer.

The Df even accepts pre-AI lenses!

This would be like Canon introducing today a new camera called the "Fd" which not only uses contemporary EF lenses, but also worked with old FD and FL lenses.

Nikon stated that the styling was influenced by the FE not the F4.

The 810 is in the same price range and a better unit
 

Which Canon can't. They can't make a camera that can accept both Fd lenses and EF lenses.

Best of luck with your DF. I was considering one and might consider a DF2. I was hoping it was smaller, about the size of a F3 and had more mp like the D750. It's probably the best DSLR out there with the lowest noise at high ISO's and the only Nikon that can use the non-AI lenses. I wouldn't say it was a tribute to the F4, the F4 is considered by pros to be the worst body in the F series. I wish I had your 24mm lens, that one is a beauty.

Ok, maybe not a tribute to the F4 in the sense of a celebration, but certainly a tribute to its features and their implementation. Consider these external controls that exist on both cameras:

P, S, A, M - mode selector

EV compensation dial

S, Cl, Ch, Cs (Q), s.t., frame rate selector

the usual shutter speed, ISO, and AF mode controls



An F4 user would find the Df very familiar and vice versa.

Aside from the Df and the Fuji X cameras, you just don't see that many dedicated external controls on a single body among contemporary cameras.

Lol, where on earth do people get this stuff?? I put a little over 200,000 frames through one of my F4's before it needed a shutter replacement, one of the best cameras I ever used and my favorite Nikon F series camera.

I own a Df and I absolutely love it. (I know, it is heresy to say something like this on this forum ). The sensor is spectacular.
Controls are "old style" enough for my old-fashioned tastes, and although a few points could be improved
(e.g. the lock of the exposure compensation dial) they work well for me.
Obviously, when I do not absolutely "need" digital, I prefer my film cameras. So my Df is mostly used as a film scanner those days.
