i have the digitaltruth website already thanks.i still would like to know what people are using to develop and what they are rating it at.

I rate Neopan 100 Acros at EI 100 and develop it in Pyrocat-MC diluted 1+1+100 for 18 minutes semi-stand at 21C.

I presoak in 21C water for 5 minutes before developing.

I use a 21C water rinse instead of a stop bath.

I then fix for 7-8 minutes with TF-4

Acros

I do mine in a tank (120 size) with Rodinal 1:100 for 10.5 minutes@75 degrees; rated at ASA 100
This is for continuous rotation on a Beseler reversible machine. Awesome negs....
Best, Peter

Rate at E.I. 64. Water-presoak 2 min.. Develop in Fuji Artdol for 4 min. 30 sec. at 20° C, continuous slow rotation in Jobo 2550 drum. Water rinse. Fix 2 min. in Amaloco X55. Water 30 min or repeated water exchange until there's no more pink in the waste water. Soak 2 min in Tetenal Mirasol. Hang to dry.

As Artdol is being phased out, I'll try a staining developer next, Precysol. With this, I'm unsure about the rotation. Anyone know how much I should rotate with that?

I recently found a new-to-me "magic" combo, Acros and Microdol-X 1:3. So nice! I rate the film at 100.

Shoot at 100 develop in pyrocat-hd or P. Presoak for 2 minutes for 1 minute agitation, 5 minutes for semistand. For 1 agitation per minute use 1:1:100 10 min. 70 degrees. For semistand, use 1.5:1:200 18 min 70 degrees. Water stop. These would be for a diffusion enlarger. Use an alkaline fixer with a staining developer. The standard is TF-4 from PF. fix for three minutes, it will clear after 30 seconds with agitation and it's lights on for the rest of the time.

Try using the semi-stand technique with Prescysol -- works well for me. Yes, regardless of ASA/ISO.

I also get good results with Prescysol, semi stand 10.5 mins at 24C.

Having done film speed tests, I rate my 120 Acros at 125 and develope it in Studional (Rodinal Special). It's a very nice combination. Also good in Rodinal. I can't remember my development times but will check tonight and post.

What is you agitation for semistand?

For 35mm, I started with Xtol 1+1, tried Rodinal 1+50 for a while, went back to Xtol. Acros is a great film and will give you the core of its characteristic, "metallic" look regardless of developer. The Xtol was better for that.

For semi-stand I've used EI 200 with Rodinal 1+100 for an hour or two, but only in 645 and 6x6 formats.

I use a Phenidone/Ascorbic Acid homebrew for 7 minutes at 70F. Great tones, virtually grainless. If you're into brewing your own, send me a PM and I'll send the formula.

Re Microdol-X

Re "I recently found a new-to-me "magic" combo, Acros and Microdol-X 1:3. So nice! I rate the film at 100", I do too. I process it for 18 minutes at 75 degrees and get gorgeous negs!

Developer For ACROS

I have used ACROS is 35mm and 120 sizes. My favorite developer is Fuji Microfine. I rate the film at 100 and develop it in straight Microfine. Most of my stash is in 600ml packets but I just got three 1 Liter packets so that should hold me for a while. Straight Ilford Microphen, Clayton F60 1:9and NACCO Super 76 1:4 also work well.

If you can mix a simple film developer, search for DS-12 developer. Two parts of DS-12 with one part water (2+1) will make beautiful negatives. You should be able to find the formula, time and EIs on my wiki site, but let me know if you can't find them.

PMK-12 min at 100 ISO
Perceptol-12.5 min at 64/80 {at 24c}
PCAT S/S works great too - I used 45 min at 100, with 1 min agitation initially then 30 secs halfway through.

These are all for 120 format.

I really like Acros (120) in Rodinal 1+100 for 18 minutes. However, I've just mixed up some PC-TEA and it seems to work very well with Acros - 1+50 for 9 minutes.
