Offered today is my DeVere 504. It has been a reliable, rock solid friend in my darkroom for almost 20 years. Soon I'm changing the footprint of my lab and will now only have room for one enlarger (a Durst L184).
Here are the details;
Has always been in a working lab, never stored in a shed or garage - so other than some dust it is in really clean condition.
Ilford 500H multigrade lamp house attached. Includes the 500CPM controller, 500S power supply and foot switch.
SpeedCarrier negative cassette system has been installed. The head does not lift open/close - the brackets which allow for this action are not present and the head is bolted firmly in place - this was done by the original owner who ran a large commercial lab here in the Washington, DC area). The lift handle and cpins are still there - so nothing should stop the next owner from returning the enlarger to its original configuration. Since it was only using the SpeedCarrier system, it was better to have everything locked down. Dimensions for the eight carriers (given in CM) are as follows; 57.5x45, 57x89, 23x36.5 (filed out), 95x120, 57x44.5, 58x46, 57x69, 58x72.8.
Manual front control knobs drive the upper and lower standards. Tabletop version.
Comes with one 105mm EL-Nikkor mounted and one spare 39mm non-threaded, recessed lens board.
Thick manual that covers not only the 504 but also the 5108. Part numbers, lens board selection guide, enlarger setup. This contains both original and photocopied pages.
Price: $2,000 cash - picked up from my home in Fredericksburg, VA. (about 50 miles South of Washington, DC)
