Offered today is my DeVere 504. It is a 4x5 enlarger.

Here are the details;

Has always been in a working lab, never stored in a shed or garage - so other than some dust it is in really clean condition.

Ilford 500H multigrade lamp house attached. Includes the 500CPM controller, 500S power supply and foot switch.

SpeedCarrier negative cassette system has been installed. The head does not lift open/close - the brackets which allow for this action are not present and the head is bolted firmly in place - this was done by the original owner who ran a large commercial lab here in the Washington, DC area). The lift handle and cpins are still there - so nothing should stop the next owner from returning the enlarger to its original configuration. Since it was only using the SpeedCarrier system, it was better to have everything locked down.

Dimensions for the eight carriers (given in MM) are as follows;

23mm x 36.5mm (35mm filed out),
57.5mm x 45mm (645)
57mm x 44.5mm (645)
58mm x 46mm (645)
57mm x 69mm (6x7)
58mm x 72.8mm (6x7)
57mm x 89mm (6x9)
95mm x120mm (3-3/4 x 4-3/4)

Manual front control knobs drive the upper and lower standards. Tabletop version.

Comes with one 105mm EL-Nikkor mounted and one spare 39mm non-threaded, recessed lens board.

Thick manual that covers not only the 504 but also the 5108. Part numbers, lens board selection guide, enlarger setup. This contains both original and photocopied pages.

Price: $1,250 cash - picked up from my home in Fredericksburg, VA. (about 50 miles South of Washington, DC)

A testimony:

I’ve had a 5108 for 20 years. Incredible machine. Last summer I was given a 504 that hadn’t been used in some time and had been thrown into a storage unit.

I set it up and tested alignment with my laser alignment tool. Bingo. Zero adjustment necessary.

These are extremely well built & reliable machines. Truly built to last.

This one looks to be well maintained.
