I am selling a DeVere 504 floor model auto focus with ESECO Speedmaster Pro45 Compucolor DSL closed loop color head. Also included 50mm EL-Nikkor, 90mm Rodenstock Omegaron and 150mm Rodenstock Rodagon lenses with mounts and carrier with 35mm 6X6 6X7 6X9 4X5 and glass inserts plus 35 and 5X5 mixing chambers. I also have the manual. This is a great enlarger for B&W or Color and it does everything including analyze neg, timer and stores many differant setups. It can also be used manually if you perfer to test and print. If you print a neg this week and want to make another next week you just enter the correction from your first print and you get a match. I had a custom lab for years and this is the best system I have ever used. The auto focus may work properly but I have only tried it once and the motors work but I did not try to figure out how to use it. I have always setup and focused manually. The enlarger is setup and working so you can check it out. Also I have some other things I will through in to help get your darkroom started. This is a really nice enlarger. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am asking $600. I am in Henderson, NV.USD
Price : 600.00

I wanted to buy this myself when it was last posted. I ended up getting another enlarger instead. I am still interested but cannot budget for it at this point. (Maybe next month  heh!)

2F/2F , for $600 in exchange for this enlarger, one would sell a testicle for this!

I have basically this enlarger, but it's all manual, this has all the go fast goodies and it's working as you see it, sheesh.

Well I drove up to see it, I left a deposit, I have to convince my wife I need this beast. The thing is huge, He is going to give me all sorts of extras, Old paper to play with, chems, I am also getting a Huge Fiber paper dryer for $40 bucks. This man has 4 Huge enlargers in his gargae. He has 2 Omegas one with the same color head, and another one but cant remember the brand (he isnt selling that one). He has everything for it, the Color head is a little dusty but I can cealn that I think. The filters have dust on them, Going to have to see what it takes to clean them up.

One thing he told me was, he never used the Auto focus of the 504, he has always used it in manual mode. He said he is the second owner and the original owner bought 2 when it was new. That man went digital way back and sold this 504. I am a bit over whelmed with what I have here. It is going to take a long time for me to understand it. I was looking to up grade from my P&B 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 condenser enlarger. The neg holders on the 504 are great, the holder takes glass plates or various other sizes from 35mm to 4x5. I main am going to develop B&W for now but may play with color 35mm in the future. He also told me I can buy a B&W condenser head for a 504. This had me thinking can I use this color head to properly develop my B&W shots, I believe this one is a defuser head, it uses little defused boxes and a quartz bulb as the light source. I may have bitten off more than I can chew. When he turned it on and I saw the size of the table, I was sold. It is simple an amazing machine, if I need it or not!

Any and all info of what I have gotten my self into would be very helpful. Thanks AKf

Congratulations, you have just bought the last enlarger you'll ever need, unless you go up in format size.

Take it easy, one step at a time, they are as simple as any other enlarger, yours just has a few go fast goodies that you can use.

As Mick says they are simple to use, no instruction manual needed unless you want to split the column from the base for transport. :D

I've posted the details on APUG earlier in the year of how to split one. It's the Rolls Royce of enlargers and will last you for years.

Thanks for the responses, I dont have this monster home yet, but I hop-e in a few day I will. My wife is going to go crazy. It is going to take along time to live this down. I told her I was in the market for a better enlarger than my P&B,I went from a Pinto to a Rolls. WOW! She will never understand. In a similar situation, I used to build custom motorcycles, I stared to build frames so I needed a better Lathe and a Mill, as well as a Tig Welder. Paying machine Shops to make my parts was costing way to much and I was at their mercy if they decide not to make a deadline. I headed off to the internet and found some tools, The lathe came in on a flat bed truck and had to have a special forklift that split in half (got longer) to handle the weight. I bout a Cadillac Lathe, a Bridgeport mill, and old industrial Tig wilder. That was a huge endeavor I had to create 3 phase via a Generator. I was the only house on the block that had tools to make tools! Now it seems there is no middle ground with the Enlarger, The biggest and the baddest or not at all. I guess she got over all that she can do the same with this.

Thanks again, I will post some updates as I get it home and up and running.

Well I plan to buy some Blocking material (used for Curtians,) put it over the top of both garage doors. This will seal the light from the doors. Or I could just do my enlargements at night after work. Right now I have been doing film dev in my bathroom, but I plan to use 1/2 of the garage as a darkroom. Got lots of work. I have to install a sink and that is going to cost a lot of time.

My darkroom is in the garage also, takes up about 1/4 of the garage, like to make it bigger but not any room left.Made the room about 9'x11' x9'high and insulated it ,put 2 vents on garage roof the also insulated the garage roof.

Have you sold this yet? I'm not real close, but close enough to possibly make it there.
