Sorry Tom but at the risk of repeating info you already know, the general rule that I have used for inversion processing is to use the Ilford time for 3200 and maybe a couple of mins more for good luck

The other way round the problem of compensating for rotary processing is to do what John Tinsley in his Rotary Processing book recommends which is to pre-wet and then stick to inversion times. D3200 wasn't around when he published the book but it worked for range of Ilford films then extant, so I see no reason why it wouldn't work for D3200

Hopefully someone here has actually had the experience that you seek

The Massive Dev Chart has a time of 20 mins at 20C for Xtol 1+1 at 1600 and in Unblinkingeye J Hicks who contributes a number of film/dev times lists 12 mins at 1250 at 24C and 15 mins at 2000 so 20 mins at 20C for 1600 looks about right. What I don't know is if the MDC time is simply a temp adjustment for J Hicks time at 24C or an independent person.

My memory is a little hazy now but I am sure I have followed Hicks' recommendation at 1250 and found that while the negs were OK they were a little less meaty than I like. It is a low contrast film and extra development might help and is unlikely to do any harm.

The Ilford times for D3200 in Xtol stock at 6.5 mins looks way too little to me but this is a gut feeling, not backed up by any experience of using Xtol at stock.

Have a look at Unblinkingeye. There are a couple of photographer's time for D3200 and Xtol 1+1, none at 1600(1250 or 2000) but extrapolation from suggests that somewhere in the 17 mins is about right for slightly meatier negs. Personally I'd add another minute to this but that's just me
