Does anyone have any developing time recommendations for Fuji Provia 400X in the Kodak Single Use E6 Chemistry? I use 6 min 45 seconds for Velvia and Provia 100F. I would think the same but figured I'd get a consensus here first. Thanks in advance.
E6 is a standard process. All films use same standard development times.
There are opinions out there that some people prefer developing some Fuji films for a little bit longer than Kodak or Agfa films, but this is up to your personal taste if you want to follow this practice. It's against the standard process.
I've always done 6:30 for Kodak film, 7:30 for Fuji film, in the Kodak E-6 First Developer step. All other steps are according to the published standards.
i use 7:30 too. I haven't developed kodak slides but I found that sensia 100, astia and velvia 50 come always a bit dark. I extended developing time gradually until I reached 7:30.
It could be my exposure meter or my taste also - can't judge anything untill i have developed first kodaks
