I bought a Jobo developing tank that could handle four negs at a go, after loading it, I realized it leaks chemicals whenever I had to agitate the tank, Is there any way I could prevent such ?

Which tank? It leaks from where? If you bought it used did you get all the parts?

The tank is a "Jobo" type with four spiral holders, it has all the parts complete.

Does it have a screw-on lid or one of those flexible plastic ones like the Patterson tanks? My Patterson tanks always tend to leak too, but I have found out that if you let a little air out of a corner of the lid and close it up again, it stops leaking.

I have an old 2 rolls Jobo (some 25 yrs) and it does leak a bit - sometimes.

Is there a gasket in to seal the cover? Mine does.

I'm going to guess it's a 1540 tank. A combination of a 1510 and a 1530 module. Is it leaking from the middle ? If so push the two tanks together. If it's leaking from the top ring push that down.
