developing paper negatives

I was wondering if the same chemicals used to develop black and white film can be used to develop paper negatives (or positives)? Would a monobath work? I'm just wondering if I could use the leftover photo paper I have from my film photography course in my pinhole camera, and then develop it in my monobath?

If you've got enough paper to spare a test, I think you should try it and see! Possibly a monobath tuned for film would be different than one tuned for paper, but it should develop the paper

Film developers tend to be much less active than paper developers, but you may find that with patience you can achieve an appropriate result.

And that's good because paper negatives often have a great contrast. I have good experience with caffenol.

or black ansco130
what i typically do is put the paper negative in dilute print developer just to jump start
the development, as soon as the image begins to appear, i put it in caffneol .. works great

i've heard of people using hc110 and xtol for paper negatives ..
keep an eye on nodda duma's instructions on processing his dry plates
they are basically paper negatives on glass instead of paper
