Hey all!

I have a 2 rolls of P3200 Tmax that i shot at 3200iso, i developed one with ilford dd-x at the time i got from digitaltruth.com - 1:4 at 20oC for 11 mins
However my film is very underdeveloped- with some research i found out this is the time for the old emultion. My question is what is the right time?! I really dont want my second roll to look the same.

Thanks!

p.s i really dont want to buy another developer (I know this would be best), however i am a starving student!

you might have to experiment here. however, ilford dd-x is an excellent developer for this film, so keep it. just lengthen the time.

and thin negatives are still printable. just use the right filters.

Dear Ellie-blu,

For Xtol, the recommended time for the "new" emulsions is very roughly 35% longer. I have no idea how (or even if) that information can be applied to DD-X.

Good luck,

Neal Wydra
