Developing APX400 @ 1600

Everything I read so far makes me believe that shooting APX400 at ISO 1600 was a very bad idea, and that developing it in ID-11 wouldn't do anything to improve things, but, sadly, I'm out of options here; worse still, I wasn't able to find any processing advice for this film/speed/developer combo, and I don't have the chance to do the tests. Can anyone suggest the development time? Thanks in advance!

If you can mix your own developing chemistry you might want to try this:

If you have one chance, do this:

Use ID11 @ 20C

Normal (400) time for new APX400 (post 2003) is 12', agitate 5 seconds every 30 seconds.

Double the normal time for 1600, 24 minutes.

This will give you acceptable results, maybe even perfect results. It won't be bad.

If you can shoot a test roll... do it !

I have had to shoot APX 400 at 1600 before and found the results were good. Developed in Xtol diluted 1+2 at 20C
