Detrola 400 any info?

I am looking for information on Detrola 400 cameras. I recently added one to my collection and my desire for info continues to grow. I have noticed most of the serial numbers on these cameras in photos I have found online are 13XXX. The copy I have is 10028. I live near Detroit, and the man who previously owned the camera notoriously collected Detrola radios. I really think it is odd, less that 1000 of these cameras were reportedly made and the rest have serial numbers so far away.

What do you mean by "the rest"? All the samples you found?

Well, it has been reported with other makes that camera serial numbers were not plain counts, but given over different models, or starting with 1k. Thus the Detrola serial number may may have been been started with 13k.
