Delta3200/Tmax3200 long time storage AND cosmic radiation.

Cosmic radiation? Seriously? If your images are not successful, I doubt it is because of cosmic radiation.

I agree, it is more likely an Operator Assisted Failure [OAF], as in the OAF did this or the OAF did that.
 
At the surface the biggest concern will be the hadronic component in cosmic rays, neutrons, pions etc. Once you have a meter or so earth overhead, the concern shifts indeed to radon (and its decay products), being a noble gas, this is hard to manage. I suggest purging with clean nitrogen.
Next thing on your list will be muons and muon-induced neutrons as well as neutrons from the rock, which can be reduced by going into a mine.

I'm afraid of clowns... and every time I see this thread I read the title as "Delta3200/Tmax3200 long time storage AND comic radiation" Puts a bit of fear in my heart for a moment.
