Delta 100 and Tmax 100

I've been using Delta 100 developed in XTOL for a few years now. Have been pretty happy with it, but am curious about Tmax 100. I'd like to ask anyone who has used both of these films in XTOL, how did they compare in terms of tonality and "look"? Neither film is going to show much grain, so that's not my concern. I'm more asking about how how they looked printed. I realize that I can just try some Tmax 100 and answer my own question, and will probably do that, but am interested in hearing from fellow APUGers who have used both of them, especially if you've run both of them in XTOL.

Thanks. Behaving as though a yellow filter was used is probably a positive, in my view. Interesting to hear your comment that tonality is nearly identical with these two films.

I've used both films in large format with Xtol 1+1. Both looked lovely, tonally. Tmax's grain is not as noticeable as Delta 100... but Delta had the edge when it came to sharpness, to my eye, anyway. Response to filters is slightly different due to their slightly different spectral sensitivities. Tmax has slightly more red sensitivity which should be considered when red filters are used. Both fantastic films.

I mentioned that grain isn't a consideration in my original question. But I sometimes do notice grain in skies with Delta 100 (120), at 11x14 print size. So Tmax might be worth a try, given your comment about it's grain being not as noticeable.

With differences in spectral sensitivity of the two films, given all things stay the same, would the effect the intensity of a Red 25 filter, or other red filters given the same scenes? FP4+ more visible difference/less? TMAX? Just curious, thanks.
